Copper Mountain

Though Copper has a ski village with many stores and restaurants, it is primarily considered a mountain and resort, and thinks of Frisco as its town, just 8 miles away.

Copper Mountain, with 2,465 acres of in-bound skiable terrain and a Summit Elevation of 12,313 feet above sea level, opened in 1972. The estimated full-time population was close to 400 in 2010.

Though professional athletes train and future Olympians compete here, this quaint, mountain area offers a variety of winter and summer fun for amateurs of all ages. You can enjoy Skiing and Snowboarding – even their 22 foot Superpipe; Music and Food Festivals; Hiking and Snowshoeing; Mountain Biking; Tubing and Ice Skating; Go-Karts; Golf at Copper Creek; Woodward Copper – an action sports training facility; and so much more.
