The center of commerce and county seat for Park County, the Town of Fairplay is located in South Park, a grassland flat within the basin formed by the Mosquito and Park Mountain Ranges. Located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 285 and Colorado Highway 9, Fairplay sits at an elevation of 9,953 feet above sea level and has a population fewer than 700.
